Yolanda Tooley is a self self-educated 35 mm film/darkroom photographer. For over 25 years, she has worked in her studio overlooking Oneida Lake in Cicero, NY.

Her oeuvre includes: classic black & white fiber based silver prints; photo collage/montage; a personal and unique style of hand coloring black & white photos and is one of the last practitioners of the Sabattier/Solorization process.

Her work has been published in Syracuse University Press’ The Stone Canoe; she was recognized by the renown art critic, Clement Greenberg; awarded First Place Professional Painting and First Place Professional Graphics at the New York State Fair; she has shown her work in juried shows at Syracuse’s Everson Museum, Chicago’s Womanmade Gallery, Highland NY’s Eliza Pritzker Gallery, Rochester NY’s Finger Lakes Exhibition, Washington DC’s Sumner Museum, Cooperstown NY’s National Essential Art Exhibition. Her work was accepted many times into Oswego NY’s Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition, & the Schweinfurth Museum’s Made in New York Exhibition.
